I was looking in to some of the more exotic colors of guinea fowl when I came across the blonde guinea fowl at http://www.guineafarm.com/descriptions.html click on the color name and you can see a picture.

It's such a pretty color I was wondering if anyone was raising them, I would love to get some hatching eggs.....

I also like the various light blue ones--- powder blue, lite blue, opaline. I'm wondering which colors to get, I'd like to have 2 different ones ( in different pens). I'm also wondering whether to get hatching eggs or to order keets.

I did it--- I ordered 30 Blonde guinea keets..... Now I will have to set up a pen for them by next year so that I can collect eggs from them....

I had thought of ordering 1/2 Blonde and half some other color, but I don't know how many will survive and I'd rather have too many than too few--- I can always sell any extras at a fur and feather swap....

I'm wondering what other people think--- what is your favorite color of guinea?

I'm planning on having 2 guinea pens next year, one with Blonde only and one with mixed colors. (I may let them free range when I no longer need hatching eggs to save on feed costs.) In future years I want to have some whites in with some Blondes to get some pied-blonde guineas, so I'd need a total of 3 pens for guineas. Plus I have my chickens and my ducks to house.....
