Expanding my flock

We have 9 White Leghorns hens. We would like to expand our flock with a different breed of hens and a rooster. I would love a recommendation for a good breed to pair with our girls. We live in North FL.

What to pair them with depends in no small part on what you want out of them. If you want to keep egg production high, you might consider bringing in some RIR and producing some red sex links.

If youd rather add weight, but not give up too much egg production (and still, expect productions to remain quite high), a black australorp might be worth considering...
