Expecting Pearled Grey. But what I get...

I have a flock consisting of 6 common Pearled Grey (5f/1m), 1 Light Lavender (f), 1 Buff Dundotte (f), and 1 Porcelain (m). One might reasonably expect that the majority of keets would come out to be Pearled Grey, right? But turns out less than 10% of the keets are PG. I've had two hatches without a single PG in the lot. Instead I'm getting Lavender, Light Lavender, Buff Dundotte, Pied Lavender, Sky, Porcelain, Slate, and White (love those blue eyes).

On the other hand, I don't have a single PG adult in my flock and I have three PG keets so far this season.

We don't receive pedigrees with our hatchery orders, so we can't breed true until we have several known generations.
