Expensive Breeds?

I was thinking of getting some other breeds next year like:
Lavender orpington
French Black Copper Marans
silver sussex

I was told that some babies can go for $60 a piece I think on the lavender ones, can't quite remember? Is this true?

I think it depends on the breeder & bloodlines & the area you are in.

We have some fantastic breeders of those birds you listed here on BYC. Shipping is most expensive, so you may want to contact some when you are ready to buy and see if they are close enough to pick up......

Your best bet is to find the closest breeder to you and start there
