extra eggs

I read on here I think about boiling extra eggs and feeding them back to the hens. Well, I did that the other day with the tiny banty eggs and it was a hoot watching them. Bisqit was all over the place and not about to share with the other 3 hens or the roo. I really thought a fight was gonna break out b/c she was being such a piggy over the treat.

Oh yeah! Mine loose their little chickie minds!!! That's one reason you have to careful with them not breaking and eating eggs in the nestboxes. They are nuts for the yolks. Once they get a taste for it you have a hard time getting them from not doing it anymore.

Interesting. Had no idea they liked raw eggs?? So far my girls have never broken any and hope they don't.
