Hello,
We are on day 37 with the egg we put in the incubator after our female quit laying. No signs of internal or external pipping. It looked like it was moving into the air sac but it didn't look like a beak - more like its body pressing up against the air sac. That was a couple days ago - no progress since. It was moving when I candled it a few days ago and I could see blood vessels. I candled it again yesterday and today but couldn't identify any moving and couldn't see any blood vessels. Today I noticed that the egg is much darker and you can easily identify the air sac without shining a light on it. I am wondering if there is any hope for this baby. If we decide to open up the egg to try to determine what went wrong, what is the procedure to follow if by some miracle we still have a live duckling inside?
I am so grateful for help from other more experienced members. Thank you so much!
