Eye color / changing eye color

All 3 of my BO's have green eyes. They are gorgeous! Is that a typical chicken eye color?
Also, will they STAY green? Do chicken's eyes change color? If so, around what age?
My chickens are 7 weeks.

good question..I was looking at my birdies eyes yesterday and a few had green eyes and in the sun wowser-pretty!!! hope you find your answer

We were just admiring this yesterday! Mine are 9 weeks and they do have beautiful green eyes.

Hope they stay that way!

I've noticed that too. It seems they don't stay that way. It is a gradual change, you probably won't notice it unless you examine your birds eyes every day. Enjoy the colour while it lasts!

My 2 Brahma girls at 6 weeks have beautiful green eyes. I know that won't last from what I've seen. I'm guessing it's like human babies or cats that are born with blue eyes and as they mature their eye color settles into their destined color.
