Eye color...does chick eye color change as they grow?

All my older hens (came to us full grown) have yellow eyes. All my chicks have greenish or brown eyes. Do they change color as the chicks age? Silly question, I know. But I'm super curious.

I believe they do. All my chicks had blue/green eyes and their parents had red eyes. I don't know when they change. I'm curious also though.
