eye problem,,{infection} advice needed

hi ive just been out to clean the coop,, and i noticed that my roosters eye has got yellow puss building in the corner of his eye, his eye lid look dry and crusty..his other eye is fine...i dont think its been going on for to long as i see him every day ,,but never noticed it before,,hes living with three hens and there just fine,, can any body help thanks ?

separate him and give four drops of polyvisol (childrens liquid A-B-D vitamins) in the beak once a day for a week then taper off.
For the eye itself you will need to flush it with sterile saline solution (you can make this yourself by boiling 1/4 tsp of salt in water for five minutes and cool). You can afterwards treat with an eye ointment especially for the eyes .
Be on the look out for any respiratory symptoms.
