I have a rooster who recently got a swollen eye. The other eye is in perfect shape, so I figured he punctured it or something, but over the past few days, the swelling has worsened. I'm not sure of it's eye worm or IB or any other illness. Also, he is free range. I'm not sure if that information is relevant or not.

Also, he doesn't have a runny nose or anything. He seems perfectly normal except for his eye.

Welcome to BYC. That is a pretty swollen eye! Chickens get sinus infections and swelling from respiratory diseases. That looks more like MG or coryza than IB. Eye worm is very rare and in tropical environments, and you should be able to see a tiny worm in the eye. Is there a bad smell from his head, or is there any rattles or wheezing when you listen to his check or neck? Any swelling of his wattles? Most of these diseases are chronic and make carriers of the flock. Culling is the best way to deal with respiratory diseases. If you choose to treat, please close your flock, and do not add or sell birds or hatching eggs. Here is a list of common diseases to read: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

He does not smell bad, and doesn't seem weak, or anything. He seems perfectly normal. Just his eye.

Can you give him an antibiotic such as Tylan50 injectible, Tylan Soluble Powder for the water, oxytetracycline, or Gallimycin (erythromycin?) That might decrease the swelling. Tylan50 injections can be given into the breast muscle for 3 to 5 days. Dose is 1/2 ml for 5 lb and under, 1ml for over 5 lb, and 1/4 ml for bantam. Terramycin ointment or Neosporin ointment in the eye would be good in addition to the other AB's.
