eye worms

I have three hens that have swollen lower lids or under the eye. Is this really a worm or an infection? They can see ok, but I'm sure it is painful. I have put neosporin on the area but hasn't done anything to help. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks Magpie

You can actually see eyeworm in the chickens eye. They are white in color, thin, 1/8" long.



If you dont see them, most likely you're dealing with some type of respiratory problem.
