i have heard alot of people saying that the temperature effects alot on incubation. my mallard has been sitting on her 11 eggs for 14 days now. the temperature where i live is very high!. summers just started and max temp goes to 40 degree celsius at night its around 20 celsius and its only gonna get higher. i wanted to know how this will effect incubation period.

i also wanted to ask that after the ducklings hatch how long should i wait till letting them swim in water. i have a bath tub dug into the ground filled with water

Sometimes when people have their incubators a little high for temperature, the eggs start to hatch a little before the 28 day average. Does she need some shade? Does she have fresh water available to her so she does not have to go far for it?

yes she has fresh food and water near her at all times. :). she also has shade at all times with plenty of airflow too
