Aloha goose raisers,
We have several geese, including three Pilgrims, a male and his two ladies.
About two weeks ago, one of the geese began walking a bit funny, like her hips hurt her. She is about two years old. I examined her and could find no injury.
Two weeks later and she's still walking funny. She sits everyday all day about 5 feet from the Pilgrim that is sitting the nest. She doesn't seem in obvious pain while sitting.
And oddly, she is starting to lose her color. The white on her face has grown to where it covers most of her face. And I would swear that she's gone from a darkish grey to a light grey. Before I couldn't tell her from our dark grey toulose goose unless I could see her face. Now I can tell her apart by color at 100 feet without my glasses on.
Has anyone ever seen a Pilgrim lose their color like this? Any ideas or suggestions?
