Failed hatch...retry questions

If I collect from today until the 14th and set. (Of course after established salability of bator) would these dates be correct.. April 4th hatch day, 21st one week candleing, 28th 2 week candleing and then I'd take them off the Turner the 31st or 1st(help me here). I would like to try dry incubating until lockdown but would like some pointers first. I have a farm innovators inc. 4200 model. I believe the first hatch failed due to a temp drop right before lockdown(I had bumped the temp knob removing cover to refil water channels I'm guessing). One pipped but I was unaware I had to open plugs for ventilation after pipping. I have now found and read the instructions but I would love pointers. I went by what my cousin said to do being it was his bator but now that I can keep it stable and know it a little better I can't wait to try again.

Your dates sound good, and most will take out the turner, raise humidity and open the plugs on the 1st. The instructions might steer you wrong, mainly by having your humidity too high day 1-18 so the chicks drown at hatch.

What area do you live in? (Climate can affect incubator settings) and have you checked for fertility in your eggs? (Bullseyes)

They all had chicks inside which hadnt hatched by 25 days. Only one pipped and on day 22 and never made it out. First timer here and not knowing how to assist i left it be. Okay so the 1st! Thanks for the info and link!

Definitely don't go but the thermometer with the bator, have your own checked accurate (I use no less that 2 thermometers) in the bator. Try a low humidity incubation (improperly known as "dry") and monitor your air cells, do not follow incubator instructions on humidity. Some people take them out at day 10, whatever you do, make sure they are out at lockdown for hatch.

Thanks so much! I will read that now! I think the level of humidity here is sufficant for the " dry" route. Maybe I will try with them out after day 10 so they dont lose moisture too fast. I have one in there but we are buying another to have 2 maybe even an extra to have 3. Im excited to see and learn and hatch chicks!
