Hello
A year ago I became heir to 3 chickens as the people who had them were moving to accommodation without a garden. A week before I received the hens I read everything I could about keeping hens and my partner and I built a hen house and run. The chickens were at least 4 years old so we weren't expecting much but they all settled in beautifully and began to lay after 2 weeks. After 3 months we added 2 youngsters (9 months old) to our brood. We have now lost 2 of the older girls which was sad but inevitable and 3 weeks ago we got 3 rescue hens who are crazy but loveable. I'm learning all the time and I'm so glad to be part of this forum with all the great advice.
