This morning when I went out to check on my gals I found a tiny egg. At first I thought it was a fairy egg but after I looked more closely at it i noticed that it’s not the same color as my adult hens eggs. I do have 3 Easter egger pullets that are 15 1/5 weeks old in with the adults but I thought that week 18 was the youngest a pullet could start laying. Is it possible that one of my pullets is an over achiever & started laying really young? Or do I just have a fairy egg & as a result of its size that that’s why it’s a different color? The picture is of the fairy egg next to my other hens eggs so you can see both the difference in color & size. The 2 eggs I used as a reference are the 2 from my adults that lay colored eggs. All my other hens lay brown eggs.
