I have a couple of relatively young Bantam hens who are now laying. However, it has been a few months and (I'm assuming only) one is still laying fairy eggs. Will she eventually start laying a normal size bantam egg? The eggs are about the size of a Robins egg, super tiny! Some have been even smaller than this one. One of my normal size Bantam eggs compared to the fairy egg.

Arent't those cute!!

I get those from time to time from my new laying pullets. Usually it's just a couple of days. Like the next couple will still be small, but not as small as their first cute egg.

Why yours still is laying those is strange. Maybe it's her reproductive tract that's doing it, and she may just lay smaller eggs; but hopefully not fairy eggs forever!

If you haven't put out a dish of oyster shell for them yet, you may want to.

I am no help. Just wanted to say I loved fairy eggs. I was told they have no yolks but that's not always true and I made the cutest deviled eggs from them. Other that that I blew them out or waited til they dehydrated on their own (doesn't take that long and no smell with no yolk) and I painted them w/ my nail polish. Just a little keepsake now that I no longer have chickens.
