I have a Hovabator 1602n with a fan kit and auto turner. I use a reptile hygrometer that I calibrated. The relative humidity in the house is 44% but inside the incubator the hygrometer is only reading 15%
I would think the inside incubator air should be the same relative humidity as the room
I had a couple of sticky chicks last hatch, even though I only added a couple tablespoons of water day 1-18, but really had to add a lot of water on lockdown to get up to 65%
and struggled to keep the humidity up, I was adding water every 6 hours and used sponges.
Wondering if the fan kit is causing an inaccurate read on the hygrometer. I am not going to add any water this time 1-18, and only add what I think for lockdown, and see if it makes a difference.
