Also, do you want to focus on chickens, hogs, or cattle? 'Cause if you're mainly selling cattle, "Sunshinee's Purebred Poultry" might not be the way to go (confuses the buyers). If you're not focusing on any, you'd want a more general farm name.

These were the questions I asked myself when naming my farm. On top of that, I wanted a website with my farm name in it. Initially I had come up with a few ideas and most easy combinations for a URL were taken with that name so I moved on to another name. I don't have a central focus for my farm, but I do sell eggs and honey as I have them. I am expanding my garden enough to have a small CSA program going this year as well, provided that this insane unseasonably cold weather doesn't kill everything. I couldn't use my last name because my long-term partner and I are not married so it was just weird. I had thought of "The Bird and the Bee Farm" (Sorta pulling from Harry Potter's Beedle and the Bard on that one), "Hidden Hills Farm" (but that was taken), Fur and Feathered Farm (didn't seem right at all to me), and finally settled on Humble Hills Farm. I chose the Humble portion because we aren't intending making this anymore than a side business, simply to sustain our hobby, and Hills because we are nestled between two hills of the Appalachians which is exactly where we feel we belong. Hopefully my little narrative there can help narrowing down your direction of thought.
