Okay -- tonight we counted off number 5, a big fat boar possum that, instead of attacking the coop he'd been waylaying decided to crawl up under the chick house after an egg. His last thoughts were of that juicy egg and how it would taste. May he rest in peace. The farmer got the egg. That accounts for 3 possums and 2 skunks this year, but this last one got a couple of birds before I helped him make the next step on his life's journey.
