fastest growing chickens?

I want to raise chicken to eat. It doesn't really matter how quick they develope just as long as they are big. No xc bird though. I like the meat to be chewy a bit and xc's are not.

Try Freedom Rangers. They grow a few weeks slower ( 9- 11 weeks) than the Cornish Crosses, but are a bit healthier and will do better on free range. Plus, they're colored and are a bit easier on the eyes than those white things.
