I have been having backyard chickens roughly a bit over 7 years..

Our first flock is Isa Brown, love them because they are so communicative, affectionate and love us....
Massive daily egg at first was wonderful, then it turned out to be a curse because of their reproductive issue.
Screamers!

Then somewhere after many passed away ..we added...
Autralorp bantam - very cute, lay 3 eggs a week, broody here and there...but not so much into us.

Wyandottee - 3 girls, lay 3 eggs a week each, just the usual broodiness, beautiful to just look at. Screamers!!

Japanese bantam - 3 cute tiny eggs a week, affectionate, beautiful.
Screamers!

A few hatched mix breed from our own flock
Screamers!

Pekin bantam - 3 cute tiny eggs a week, affectionate, beautiful, funny when they walk, talkative and such quiet gentle voice.
Very quiet!

I only want Pekin chickens ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ .......Love everyone in my flock, but the screaming before and after egg laying aren't working for me anymore, too old, have too many headache.....

I always keep barred rocks in rotation. Lovely personalities, very hardy. I also have like my RIR as they are my best foragers (they catch and eat baby snakes) but they are not so hardy in the summer when temps get over 90. I have lost 3 during the past several summers

I have a frizze pekin bantam, he does not look like a chicken, more of an alien and so funny whenever he run.

Sometime I think how Pekin chickens survive in the wild? They don't run fast, they too small, too much feather, they make great meal for other in the wild.
