My favorite all around are the lamanchas.

Fainters & Mini Silkies. Sweet, Kind, Calm, Stay where they need to stay. No jumbing fences, no climbing etc. They make excellent mothers and I've never had an aggressive buck.

Saanen here too, quiet sweet, not big climbers or jumpers. Tons of milk with no need to rebreed every year.

Many saanen does will stay in milk, as long as you are milking them for more then one year. My old gal sugar once milked for three years.
