Just existing with them is nice. They live such simple lives and breaking away from my high tech job and life is nice.

Some people enjoy it I read one person on the worst thing about chicken keeping post said she loved cleaning the coop it's part of chicken keeping so I thought I'd add it

I voted for eggs and giving treats but I could put down all of them! ( with the exception of meat, and of course cleaning the coop!)

You forgot the poop for the compost! It's "the other gift" from the chickens. My compost got sooo much better when I got chickens.
