Feather eating

I just witnessed my dear sweet Molly eat a feather she plucked off of my lovely Barbie. Now i know that Molly needs more protein. I've tried giving her chick starter grower and snacks of fish. She doesn't show interest in either. What can i do? She is a new adopted girl so this is from previous owner. And her sister is doing the same thing but will eat the food and snacks. Is there anything i could try. I read cat food. I'm a little hesitant. Thanks for the help.
