My hen escaped from a goshawk attack a few days ago but lost quite a number of feathers. She appears fine and is still laying eggs. I fdidfibd any puncture wounds or other injuries. Any thoughts on how long feather regrowth will take? It’s still winter here but she has a secure coop and 5 other hens to huddle with.
Thanks

Some birds may start regrowing feathers right away, but sometimes they don’t until the next yearly molt. She is lucky that she survived the attack. Hopefully, she will continue to recover.
