Feather loss question

First off thank you for taking the time to read this. I have a year old ameraucana who lost the feathers around her neck and hasn't grown them back months later. I started researching what might have caused her feathers to drop out, and each time it turned up that she was molting. I'm a first time chicken owner, so I've never had a chicken molt and I don't know what it should look like nor the duration of it. If any of y'all know what could be wrong with her or how to fix the feather loss please let me know. Thank you so much.

its molting if the feathers start to grow back with in a month or two at the most but if more it could be of old age that's sort of what my chickens are doing mine are turning 7 and some aren't laying and my two orpingtons haven't grown much back so I think its because of old age
