Feather loss

No rosters. Definitely not overcrowding. Egg laying is good so don’t think they’re stressed. We have had a long stretch of rain, hot, humid weather, but nothing really unusual .
What exactly do you feed?

I had a lice problem that I treated with permethrin. It helped but they kept coming back. What finally did the trick was adding brewers yeast and garlic powder to their fermented feed. They don’t mind the taste and apparently the garlic is strong enough to deter the lice. Make sure you use a good quality garlic powder, not garlic salt, because they don’t need the sodium. Worked for me.

Some bird or birds are feather pecking/plucking. If there are birds that remain in good feather, they are the ones doing the plucking. It's a bad habit that can sometimes be cured through the use of Pin Less Peepers.
I'm not arguing with you at all. I just want to learn. Have you seen this before? I thought that since the other feathers weren't damaged that picking was likely not the cause. What am I missing?
