feather question

Hope you can see...I think this is my male, he's about 15 weeks now and I noteced that his feathers on his neck have been staying fluffed. It looks like he's got frizzy feathers on his head and neck and they are kind of thin close to the bottom of his neck. Not sure what this is if it's anything at all. Any ideas?

My duck has that too! Are those feathers preparing to fall out maybe??? Hopefully someone who knows will answer.

I cannot see much from the photo (old eyes) but from the description, he may be molting. The beginnings of a molt can look a little odd, especially if this is your first time.
