Feather sexing

How hard is it to feather sex RIR's, I'm hatching a mixture of RIR's and BSL's. Thought I'd go by the BSL's feathering, what's everyone think, this'll be my first try so any help would be nice.

are the bsl breed to other bsl? feather sexing isnt that accurate the chicks have to be breed to carry the feather sexing gene.

When you say that it isn't accurate, could you explain a bit more? I'm going to be looking at Black Australorps and Giant Blue Cochins later this week. Does the feather sexing work for them?
