Feathering chicks

I swear i can watch my chicks grow thier feathers! they have feathered out on thier breast alot today. the more they feather out the more they fight . is this normal?
 
Of course, the older they get the more interested they are in making and maintaining a "pecking order"
Just make sure that no one is bleeding, and nobody is being kept away from the feed/water.

I have my brooder covered with the wire divider from an XL dog crate.

Hardware cloth, shelves from ovens or freezers, or pretty much any type of fence will work to keep them from flying out.
 
thanks i have lots of wire i have been collecting the last couple of years for duck blinds but it never was used but going to a better use now i think.
