If you want to collect them and use them to make jewelry or fishing lures you can, but I just let mine rot. They go away pretty quickly.

I tried to collect them once. I set them aside and promptly forgot about them. Tossed them back in the yard after a few weeks.

The neighbor's girls like the pretty feathers and some go into dream catchers. Anything with distinct patterning, like a long tail or wing feather, gets kept. Extras or slightly flawed ones the chickens will eat up themselves with a bit of time. Previously, everything got composted.
