I just noticed my young drake has feathers on his legs. They are short and not bothering anything, but how likely is he to pass this on to his offspring? Is it a dominant trait?

You two should get those ducks together and breed for that trait. Eventually you might have a niche in the market, kinda like crested ducks.

As messy as ducks are, I think feathers on the feet are a really stupid trait to breed for intentionally!

My neice had hair on her ears and face when she was born. (we quietly called her a warewolf) but it fell out as she grew (and now she is a beautiful girl with hair in all the right places).

Are your ducks young? Do you think the feathers will fall out?
