So I saw this really cool youtube video, where a guy took a big container (like a trash can or barrel) and cut out holes going around it at the bottom. He then put pbc pipes (elbow joints) in it and tadaa feeder.

My questions is this.. is there a way to do the same thing but maybe either stack a waterer on top or bottom of it, so you can minimize the space used?

My original thought was to do what he did for the feeder, then put another container on top of it.. it would have pbc pipe running from it to the base of the feeder where it would come to a nipple point. That way it would be food hole, nipple (water), food hole, etc...

But what about leaks? to much weight? any ideas? Have you already seen this done.. do it yourself?

Good idea if you have the space for it. My thought would be to have the water on the bottom tho. Any leaking wouldn't be pleasant in the feed. You could have a pvc pipe come out so you can fill it with the hose. I use 5 gallon buckets cut a hole in the lid, then run a pvc pipe out with a shut off valve on the end. It's perfect size for my hose to fit in and fill up.

That's assuming you're not going to tie it into your water line...

I thought of putting the water on the bottom as well for the same reason. I am just not so sure how the feed would work that way.. coming out of the barrel into a pbc then to the opening.. just unsure if that would work..

Ya the only way I see it working with the food on top would be with a pvc shoot coming down. Then you'd be dealing with possible clogs.
