Feed Coturnix quail peanuts?

I was wondering if anyone has ever fed Coturnix quail peanuts? I understand they need a high protein diet. I have access to piles of free shelled raw peanuts. Would they be too big for them to eat? What if I was to grind them?

Absolutely on the peanuts! If the nuts are not stale, the quail can easily bite into halved pieces, even the whole ones. My birds go nuts for any nuts! LOL

Awesome! This year I am going to raise some Coturnix quail! For 2 yrs I've been planning on doing this. I'm finally going to do it! Ty for the information.

as i'm from texas i have a lot of pecans would these be ok for them to eat and if so can you over do it i would crack them in half and give them the halves
