Feed How long does it last + more

Hi I was wondering how long feed lasts before it loses nutritional value and I am looking at buying 2,500+ pounds where do I get it cheap and how the cheapest I found it is 14.00 per 50lbs. but I know it can be cheaper than that also I want 20% protein I think or close to that.

A friend of mine with a poultry science degree doesn't want feed over 3 months old. One of the local feed stores nearly gives it away at 6 months of age. Any chance there is a feed mill in your area that grinds their own feed? If so they are much cheaper than a feed store and may do a custom mix for you.

Your better off getting it milled with your own ration.

Here's a good basic cheap feed. Very similar to an organic grower mash.
