hey how big of a feeder and waterer should i buy to put in the chicken coop. ill have 4 red star sex link chickens only. Is 5 gallons tooo big. please help thanks

I've always felt the larger the better as it reduces the number of times I have to refill them. I currently have one feeder built into the wall of the coop that holds 150 lbs and a Kuhl range feeder in the run that holds 50 lbs.

I agree. Since i only have three chickens, I originally went with a 3lb feeder and 1 gallon waterer. I soon realized that it is a pain to constantly be cleaning and refilling them every couple of days so I think it is better to go with a large feeder and a waterer that hooks up to a bucket so you can have at least 5 gallons. I would also recommend nipples or water cups.
