Hello. Hopefully this thread will garner some good ideas for the construction of a home-made feeder. Can be wooden, plastic, welded metal, meshed, whatever your idea.

Specifically I'm seeking an idea for a weather-proof, rodent-proof, long-term storage and feeder combo. Ideally something you could store grain in for at least three days at a time. Or water, if it's a water feeder.

So: what automatic feeders do you use, if you do? There's these metal boxes they call 'Grandpa's chook feeders' in australia but they cost almost $400! And can feed two hens at a time, not easily more. They step on a plate to open the lid. So, obviously, hoping to make my own. Thanks for reading.

LOL! Every time I think I'm getting an idea of the content of this site, I find it's bigger than I thought... I just saw the other pictures for feeders, in I forget what section. There I go with a useless thread again! Very sorry. Ah well, maybe the poll will be some use to someone...
