Hi all! Girls (and boy) are finally in their new coop; I've been keeping food and water inside the coop (and will eventually hang them inside); what do most of you do? (I also have water in the run all day of course). Do you leave their food inside or outside the coop? I am trying to keep away night time visitors and don't want their feed invaded by rodents.

Thanks for any advice.

I initially had the food and water feeder inside just so the chickens get comfortable being inside the coop. Now I have the food in a DIY 5 gallon bucket feeder outside and water inside. So far the bucket feeder works great. No more food wasted and haven't noticed any rodents.

I keep my food hanging inside the coop, and I have water in the coop and outside in the run. If you do put the food outside you'd have to bring it in at night or the rodents will come quickly!
