Feeding a Chick egg yolk?????

i have a day old chick. Born with the yolk sac on the outside of the body. Momma hen pecked it causing it to bust and dry out. Chick has been in the house with me almost died yesterday morning. I have been feeding soaked chick feed in water through a syringe. I read that feeding egg yolk is ok so I took one and added a bit of water and the baby chick had some. She is still not eating or drinking on her own. Does anyone know if this is ok and if so should it help her on her road to recovery?

Poor little chick! Is it premature, do you think? You could try giving it sav-a-chick. I've never used it but it's supposed to be a supplement of new chicks. Good luck, I hope it gets better!

She is doing much better. I soaked her in a warm bath to get the crust off her vent and she had a bm a very large one. Now she's moving a bit still not much and chirping more. Thanks for the advice everyone
