Feeding a large flock

I have a flock of mostly younger chickens (82 chickens in total). What do you folks with larger flocks do for feeding? I feel that my current feeding setup is ineffective and I wonder if they are getting enough food. I would love to hear some ideas for larger flocks for happy feeding and less bullying. How much and how often do you feed them? Should I allow them to eat freely or should I keep it set to where I control the meal times? Thanks for your time!

Troughs. I still like troughs. Everyone has a different method that works for them.

If you do use troughs, allow 10"-12" of linear space for each bird. I fill 5 gallon feed buckets and can dispense it into the troughs easily. Done.

This sounds perfect! I didn't think of feeding troughs. I may give this a try!

Do you have a picture? I like the idea of troughs as well. I've been using feed buckets with the PVC piping so it's no spill, but I don't feel like all the birds are getting enough food.
