Feeding Alfafa cubes to chicks/ducks

Hi everyone hope you had a great Thanksgiving!

Since we are still under about a foot of snow my chicks/ducks are really wanting greens (we give them lettuce). We were wondering if feeding them alfafa cubes for horses would be ok and had anyone done that here.

BTW the chicks/ducks loved the turkey too!!

Seems like the chickens and ducks loved it. Some were soaking them in water first.
