Hi everyone!

So duck has transitioned from duckling to duck now and I am still feeding him all purpose crumbles. The local store doesn't have special feed for older ducks and they said that they feed the older ducks the crumbles as well. But I've noticed that my duck has a hard time eating the crumbles now that he's older, he just bites a bunch and dips it in the water but the crumbles just dissolve and I'm afraid he's not eating enough to get enough nutrients. The local store does have stuff like bird seeds and cracked corn and some chicken feed but no duck food for older ducks. Any recommendations for what to feed an older duck? What do y'all feed your ducks when they're no longer ducklings?

All purpose as in all flock?
Mine are eating the crumbles still and will their whole life.
What kind if container are you using to feed the duck? You just have 1?

I feed mine the pellet form of the purina all flock feed. Same product and nutritional value just less messy and less waste.

As for the cracked corn be careful because it's like how us humans are to potatoes chips, we love them even though we know in large amounts it's not good for us, next to no nutritional value.

Fun treats (in moderation) peas, mealworms, diced cabbage, kale, dandelion greens....just to name a few.

Mine eat flock raiser crumbles all their lives. But more.......I like to let them eat lettuce (iceberg and romaine), meal worms (the dried kind), and any salad leftovers, as long as there is no salad dressing.
Watching them tear into a piece of iceberg lettuce, thrown into the pen, it is easy to see what they love! BTW, I left a tiny pile of little gravel rocks (very small!) in an inverted lid. They actually gobble up a few rocks, since the lettuce became part of their diet. Of course, they always know just how many rocks to eat, and then they stop.
