feeding baby ducks

can you start baby ducks on chick starter. i have 20 ducks comeing in feb trying to get set up for them now any other sugestions thanks.

Hello, yes they can eat chick starter... just NOT medicated! They eat alot more than chicks do and they can OD on the medication in the feed. I feed mine Purina start and grow for chicks. Non medicated..

nice i have 2 bags oh the same feed non medicated. thanks how many weeks do i keep them on the starter feed?

Where are you? If you are in a warmer climate than I am, dandelions (never sprayed!) are a wonderful food for waterfowl. Just chop fine and give small quantities at first.

hey guys i was just reading this and also have a question: after the starter put them on grower for how long? i got my first ducks a 3 &4 mths and just put them onto duck feed and they ate my hole garden (didnt know they liked tom leaves and such)
