Feeding canned pineapple

I've been told not to eat pineapple and have several cans in my pantry. I consulted the Chicken Treat list and don't see pineapple listed there.

Anyone know if it is OK to feed pineapple to my chickens? Has anyone done so?

Yup, that should be ok. Feed it in moderation though, too much will give them the runs.

I gave them pinapple, but they preferred watermellon. They left half the can. Thats a first.

Watermellon is one of my cash crops. My birds love it and eat the mellons right down to the outer part of the rind.
