Feeding Chickens Buttermilk?

When I was a kid we used to give the chickens clabbered raw milk. Anyone given them store-bought buttermilk?

Dairy products are, in moderation, good for chickens and will help them grow shiny feathers. I wouldn't go buying it specifically for them, but if you have extra, you may as well give it to them.
