feeding chicks flock raiser?

Can chicks that are going to be laying hens eat flock raiser?? Thanks!!

Yes, but when they come into lay you will need to give them oyster shell because the Flock Raiser doesn't have enough when they are laying.

That's basically what I do. I feed my entire flock--chicks, young layers, old hens, roosters of all ages--an all-in-one feed that's similar to flock raiser. Much easier to give everyone one feed, IMO. I do offer egg shells or oyster shells on the side for my layers, no one else is interested in them.
