I have a masticating juicer which spits out all of the dry fibrous veggie/fruit pulp. The purpose of juicing is to get all of the valuable nutrients out of the food, so I'm wondering if I feed my chickes the leftover pulp, is there any nutrition left in it for them? They sure do like it, but I don't want them to fill up on something that isn't giving them any nutrients. I only did it yesterday, and only with about 2 tbsp per 10 chicks. Anyone else give this to their chicks/hens or have any input? Thanks...I feel like a neverending stream of questions...am I a chickendork?? a beakgeek?

They are getting the fiber-better probably than what you are getting! I did see though not to give them citrus so avoid the oranges/lemons. I don't see why it would hurt them.

you're not alone... we're starting or trying to get the betty ford clinic to open up a special "wing" for us, those whose are hopelessly addicted to chickens. On the serious side though, I doubt it would hurt in moderation.. I give mine mashed up strawberries, and they go nuts. Oh, they're rotten.. they won't eat the strawberries from the grocery store! they have to be farm fresh or they won't even look at it!
