Ok, so I can never say no to free. Picked up 6 14-week old muscovys. As far as I can tell, it's 4 girls and 2 boys. My question is this. The previous owner was feeding chick starter and cracked corn. My chickens are already on layer mash. Can I feed the ducks the same, or do I need to keep seperate feed, and if so, for how long?

Free is hard to pass up lol

um, well first of all... i wouldn't feed layer.. one they are not of that aging, second drakes shouldn't eat it. I'd look for either a duck grower or a flock raiser.

I feed all my Muscovy Purina flock raiser... they range in age from 1mth through 1.5yrs old... i free choice oyster shell for the ladies. The birds all free range as well.
