Can anyone show me pictures of how you offer grit and oyster shells? When I just put it out in a dog food type of dish it all just ends up wasted and kicked all over the ground....

That's basically all I do and I just let them kick it around. I don't give them too much and only offer it every few days. I don't think there really is any other way of giving it to them.

I have the oyster shell in a PVC feeder and the grit in a dog/parrot bowl like this:

Oyster shell in a hanging 40oz pail in coop, on the right behind feeder in this pic. 20180402_093120.jpg .
Granite Grit in a hanging 40oz pail under the raised coop on the right, with a hanging 60oz pail of water on the left. 20180408_060418.jpg .
The pails for the shell and grit have several 1/16 inch holes drilled in bottom to drain moisture. GC

I drilled drain holes in the bottom of the mason jar style chick feeders and made a little rope harness to hang them for both grit and oyster shell. Works really well, very little waste.
